Fashion Week was pretty amazing for me this year. I had high expectations of everything I was going to see and do based on the invitations I had scheduled in my phone. It all started with my friends at Artistry who extended an awesome invite to be their beauty ambassador for 2 days and host a most fabulous Twitter party, live from the Empire Hotel during the hottest fashion event of the season.

I perched myself in my room, got settled and made my way down to the extra lux and exclusive beauty lounge they set up for beauty editors across the board. The lounge, full of beautiful women and fine men doing makeup, offered all you could want in prep for a long day of fashion show hustling and maneuvering. Between posh paraffin treatments, one-on-one consultations with beauty and skin experts after a very detailed session with their unique F.A.C.E.S technology, and makeup applications by their very own Rick DiCecca and celeb MUA (and total cutie) Edward Cruz, you could enjoy some wine and decadent brownie cupcakes. I had about 4 of those and had to check myself!

Though I'm very familiar with the brand and most of their extensive collection of products, I was eager to get a skin analysis with their scientist conducting the F.A.C.E.S test.  It's a tricky set up... You take off ALL of your makeup,  stick your face in a cubby hole and lights start flashing back to back. The machine takes high res pictures of your internal layers to determine how you're aging based on your age and ethnicity/complexion. The test can check for dark spots, wrinkles, fine lines, acne prone skin and other variables. Based on those results, an expert suggested a combination of products to address any issues you have. Fortunately for me, I didn't have any signs of wrinkles (thanks to my black and Chinese grandparents!) or much sun damage. But, I do have some no-so-cute brown spots that I've been tackling for a few months now. All the brave chicas bearing their souls to the machine and scientist were given a package with those prods to help manage those problem areas. The best suggestions for me is their Creme LuXury Eye, the 14-night restore program (more on that soon!) and the Essentials line.

The fun really started that night once the lounge closed to media. The other two lovely ladies and I got ready to tweet away! For 90 minutes, we tweeted about beauty and fashion trends for Fall and Spring '13, answered questions from women wanting to know more about the products, what they could do to better their appearance; most of them sharing very personal stories about their skin woes. Our beauty experts joined in on the convo and provided in-depth insight into what we need to do go keep our skin looking gorgeous, year-round. All of this in 140 characters, of course! At one point, we were a trending topic! Wait, twice, actually. Talk about fast tweeting and RT'ing.

I stuck around a bit longer and shot some video for the team where I recapped the day. I didn't have enough of their pampering, so I want back the following day for more cocktails and wine and got to spend some down time with my new friend Larissa. What a doll, that girl. It's not very often I become friends with people I do business with. But, she's Latina and has that IT factor!

If they already didn't know how to do it right, they also tickled my fancy and sent me to the J. Mendel show which I'll share in a few days. What a spectacular show!

Check out the links above to become familiar with some of Artistry's collection. The really have developed products that address real issues. I've enjoyed some of the benefits from each that I'm currently using. If only I could commit to drinking more water and removing my makeup every single night, no matter how late! That's  rule numero uno, as Rick says! Wait til I show you some of their makeup I'm loving!

Love it Bren. You look so cool, loving those outfits (especially your golden necklace). And loving the whole beauty experience with Artistry. What an awesome idea to set up that lounge for fashion week!
